Engineers Should Embrace The Arts

This article by the BBC highlights the interplay of aesthetics and engineering, Apple being a great example this. Sir John, a fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology says that “engineers should embrace the arts as being key to creativity and an important component of innovation, crucial to creating new products and boosting future competitiveness.”

With a shortage of graduates from STEM degrees, Sir John believes that an emphasis and integration between arts and sciences will help entice more young people to get into STEM related studies.
